Shynese Hockaday, MPA

Shynese Hockaday, Founder of iRise, is a Wake Forest native and a dedicated higher education professional. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Saint Augustine’s University in 2015, followed by a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University in 2020. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership, further deepening her commitment to driving positive change through education, leadership, and community empowerment.

Scottie Fogg, MS, OTR/L

Secretary, Scottie Fogg is committed to securing the resources necessary to advance our mission. A dedicated Occupational Therapist by profession, Scottie currently serves in Cardiac Rehabilitation at Duke University Hospital. She is also the CEO of Truly Therapeutic Rehab Solutions, PLLC—a practice that offers affordable, high-quality therapy services to veterans and individuals with disabilities. Through her leadership and clinical expertise, Scottie bridges healthcare and community service to create lasting impact.

Camilla Hockaday

Treasurer, Camilla Hockaday leads the organization’s veteran support initiatives. In this role, she provides guidance, advocacy, and assistance to help veterans effectively access and navigate the services, benefits, and resources available to them.

Lucretia Smith, MSA

Director of Community Engagement, Lucretia Smith is an accomplished educational leader with a passion for equity, innovation, and student-centered learning.
Lucretia holds a Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Developmental Supervision from NC State University & Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, she is preparing to pursue a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership, with the goal of becoming a future superintendent.
